Kawartha Gymnastics Fill-the-Pit Fundraiser!

Kawartha Gymnastics was founded in 1971 by a group of local parents.  Warevise are a non-profit organization, and each year we enroll hundreds of local athletes in our programs and events.  We offer classes for babies to adults, as well as movie nights, birthday parties, camps, and much more.  We host an annual Invitational Meet which brings hundreds of athletes from across Ontario to Peterborough to compete.  We have been searching for a larger facility for years, and are thrilled to have found a new location nearly twice in size.

What is The Pit? 

A loose foam pit is a gymnastics safety training construction in which a large quantity of soft foam is used to cushion landings. Pits are used to train for almost every gymnastics event and help advanced gymnasts work on dismounts, tumbling and landings. For the beginner and intermediate gymnast, ‘swimming’ across the pit is a great conditioning exercise and just fun to jump in!

So how can you help? The Pit requires 5,000 pieces of foam and we are giving everyone the opportunity to help FILL THE PIT by purchasing foam blocks for $10/each.  In addition, your name will go on the KGC Pit Sponsor Wall that will be located in our new facility!
