Description

Please join Runners for Public Lands for a weekend of running, hiking, camping, and star gazing, as we explore the local flora and fauna of the magnificent Montaña de Oro State Park on October 15-17, 2021. The weekend will be packed with discussions from local shrublands experts, runners, astronomers, and information on land acknowledgement. As a nonprofit committed to creating inclusive communities dedicated to environmental justice and stewardship through advocacy and conservation, we welcome everyone to join us for a weekend of learning, exploration, and community!

OVERVIEW

Each day will include a morning and afternoon run ranging in distance and ability level. Throughout the day, we will offer various activities to learn more about the history of MDO, the surrounding areas, and other ways to engage with the local landscape. In the evenings, we welcome everyone to BYOfood and drinks and join us around the campfire as we share stories and chat about this beautiful place.
