Mercy's 5K Stroke Awareness Run 2020 Has Been Cancelled
We regret to inform you that due to current public health concerns we have made the difficult decision to cancel Mercy’s 5K Stroke Awareness Run and Family Festival for 2020. We apologize for any inconvenience this decision has caused, but the health and safety of you, your family, and all of our wonderful supporters is our utmost concern.
In light of the cancellation, we know many of you may have questions regarding a refund of 5K registration fees and/or donations. We ask for your patience at this time as our team is working tirelessly to develop a communication plan and timeline regarding this matter and we plan to share that information with you as soon as it becomes available.
We are truly very sorry and look forward to bringing you another amazing 5K in 2021. We hope we can count on your support!
For any questions, please reach out to the Mercy Foundation Office at 209.564.4200.

Description
Mercy's 9th annual 5K Stroke Awareness Run is being held on Saturday, May 2nd at Mercy Medical Center. This fun run is held to educate participants on the signs and symptoms of a stroke. All the money raised goes straight into our Primary Care Stroke Program. This year’s 5k event will be chip-timed, which means you can have your race results emailed or texted to you when you cross the finish line. The end of the race brings you right to our Family Festival where there will be free health screenings, as well as many family-friendly activities.
For the past six years, we have challenged community groups, businesses, and friends to create teams to participate in the race. We would like to extend that challenge again this year by asking you to form a team of 5 or more participants, and we encourage you to be creative with your team name for race day. Awards will be given for the team with the most members, the team with the best costume, and the top fundraising team!
- New to this year's race, Tribute Sneaker signs are available for purchase to honor or remember friends or loved ones who have been affected by stroke. These 12" x 18" signs are yours to customize with pictures, inspirational quotes, or whatever you would like and will serve as decorative inspiration along the 5K finish line. Check out the "Store" tab above for more information on Tribute Sneakers!
