National Association of REALTORS ® – Young Professionals Network Advisory Board

Purpose
To be the voice of a fast-growing group of REALTORS® young professionals who are focused on personal growth, networking, and association involvement. The advisory board should be a diverse group culturally and geographically with a primary focus on helping young professionals engage in: Association activities: Encourage young people to attend meetings and participate in committees at the local, state, and national level. Advocacy: Encourage them to get involved in policy discussions and take an active role in advocacy. Peer mentoring: Provide a way for young people to network and learn from one another, through both social events and education aimed at helping them enhance their real estate prowess and increase their survivability in a highly competitive industry. Community: Cultivate the future generation of Good Neighbor Award winners.

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Stanislaus County

The mission of CASA is to ensure a safe, permanent and nurturing home for every abused and/or neglected child in Stanislaus County by providing a highly-trained volunteer to advocate for them within the dependency court system.

​The goal of CASA volunteer advocates is to prevent abused, neglected and abandoned children from becoming lost in the foster care system by providing individual and high quality advocacy to the foster children we serve.

The Need for CASA

Each day in California, approximately 70 children who have been abused or neglected join the state’s population of nearly 60,000 children in foster care. These children were abused or neglected and then removed from their families and the place they called home.  Sadly, many can become a victim a second time in an overwhelmed child welfare system that does not allow for close attention to each child and their needs or wants. 

​Children are the passive recipients of decisions made on their behalf by powerful adults. A CASA volunteer is appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interest in court.

​Our goal is to make a positive and long lasting difference in each child's life.
