Saturday, March 16th, 2019 marks the Native American Health Center's 18th annual Running is My High event.
Running is My High is a large community event hosted by Native American Health Center that includes a 5k/10k run/walk around Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland and celebrates wellness, physical and mental health, nutrition, and social connection. This year, NAHC would like to honor our sister clinics, to acknowledge the vital role that Community Health Center’s play in the Health Care landscape. If you are not a runner/walker, you are still welcomed to join us to enjoy traditional Native American drumming and dancing, outreach tables, and a children's activity area.
Online registration closes on Friday, March 15th at 10:00 PM for $15. If you miss online registration, you can also register the day-of between 7:30a.m-8:30a.m. for $20 (preferably cash). If you pre-register online, please check in between 7:00am - 8:30am on the day of the event to pick up your event packet. The start of the race is set to begin @ 9a.m.
This event won't just be about walking and running. There will also be many different booths, entertainment, drumming, dancing, and so much more. You don't want to miss it!
