Description

Wham, yam, thank you ma’am! We are back for the 4th annual Rose Bowl Turkey Trot, a new family favorite tradition 5k race on Thanksgiving morning around the Rose Bowl Stadium. All are invited whether you have two legs or four! Did you know the Rose Bowl Stadium is turning 100 in 2022? As part of the year long birthday celebration, each participant will receive a limited edition commemorative pin as we kick off our centennial celebration. All entry fees for 2021 will be 100% tax-deductible and will go directly to the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation’s America’s Stadium Needs America Campaign. Trot before you gobble and help preserve, protect, and enhance the Rose Bowl Stadium! To learn more about the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, or it’s America’s Stadium Needs America Campaign, visit www.inspire2022.org/weneedamerica. Each participant will have an opportunity to donate after checkout to the Race to Erase MS foundation. Race to Erase MS mission is to be dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of Multiple Sclerosis through research and increasing awareness about this mystifying disease.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR:

Option 1 is on Thanksgiving morning at the Rose Bowl Stadium! A timed race will go through a 3.1-mile course. All participants will receive a race bib, medal and commemorative centennial pin. The race will start and finish at the top of Lot K. The course itself will run through the spacious Brookside Golf Course. On race day bib pickup will begin at 7:30 am. We highly encourage you to pick up your bib in advance on Wednesday, November 24th from 3 pm - 7 pm at the Rose Bowl Gate A entrance.

Option 2 is a virtual race that can be done from anywhere between November 24th through November 26th. So, what is a VIRTUAL event? A virtual run/walk means that all registered participants can run or walk at a place of your own choosing. This could be your neighborhood park, running trail, bike path, quiet neighborhood streets or wherever walking and running is safely permitted. All participants are encouraged to use the Race Joy app to track their official time and automatically send in their finish time as well as listen to some special messages from Rose Bowl legends during your trot. In addition, a downloadable custom race bib will be available as well. All virtual race registrations prior to 11/15/21 will be mailed a medal before Thanksgiving. Any registrations thereafter will receive their medal at the soonest possible time.

Don’t forget to post photos of your trot and tag @rosebowlstadium and @rosebowllegacy and use hashtag #MemoriesMakeUs #RoseBowlTurkeyTrot
