2021 AWF Purple Heart Virtual Events

Join us for the 2021 AWF Purple Heart Virtual Run! 

On August 7, Purple Heart Day, the nation pauses to acknowledge and remember the sacrifices made by brave people in the military. The Purple Heart medal is presented to service members who have been wounded or killed as a result of enemy action while serving in the U.S. military.

Join us for our 3rd Virtual Training and Ruck Run as we get in shape, connect with friends and family through weekly trainings and compete for the best final times! Share your photos on social media to enter our weekly raffle for prizes. 

Details:
1. Signup for the Virtual 5K, 10miler, Fun Run/Walk or join a team 
2. All times are tracked through the leaderboard to add to the competitive fun
3. Registration and participation is FREE. Purchasing of the AWF Purple Heart T-Shirt includes 10% off gifts and apparel in our merchant store, and Donation to the Veterans Suicide Prevention Organization
4. Includes a 6 week virtual training course lead by an experienced trainer and veteran 

Who We Support:
A VA study on mental health concluded that on average 20 Veterans commit suicide a day and that the suicide rate is highest among Veterans between 18 and 29. Our mission is to help support organizations working toward veteran suicide prevention. Help us defeat these horrific statistics through donations, participation and sharing with others. It's important to get our message out there, especially during these difficult times. Our goal is to support The War Fighter Community Foundation, Mission 22, Broken Warriors Angels in their great prevention efforts.
