The Navy's 37th Bay Bridge Run/Walk

START LOCATION: 1 Park Blvd, San Diego – between the Hilton Bayfront and Convention Center

FINISH LOCATION: Tidelands Park, Coronado

START TIME:8am

COURSE: Scenic point to point course takes you through downtown, over the Coronado Bridge, down to Tidelands Park

RACE NUMBERS: Mailed to you if registered by May 10th. If you don’t receive yours, come to packet pickup

PACKET PICKUP: Saturday, May 18th 10am-2pm at RoadRunner Sports 5533 Copley Dr, San Diego. Pickup your bib and t-shirt (and merchandise if purchased), and pickup for others with their ID. If you have your race number, you must bring this with you to receive your t-shirt.

RACE MORNING PICKUP: At the start line area beginning at 6:30am

FREE TRANSPORTATION BACK TO START LINE FROM FINISH: Participants can select a shuttle bus or ferry after the event, free of charge

While we are experiencing some construction near our start line, we have modified our mass start event into wave starts. We will have participants line up according to your running pace. We will be announcing these waves throughout the morning, and we appreciate your assistance in getting you through the start area and onto the course. Please note for competitive runners: Results and awards will be based on GUN TIME from the first start at 8:00am, as per USATF rules. We will provide your chip time for your own personal record.

This event is hosted by the Navy Region Southwest Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program. The event raises funds to support Quality of Life Programs for Navy personnel. MWR Quality of Life programs support the 500,000+ members of our San Diego Military Family. MWR provides healthy and affordable fitness and recreation opportunities at each of the five Navy bases in San Diego County.

MWR operates multiple gymnasiums and fitness centers, swimming pools and beaches, free movie theaters, bowling lanes, golf courses, discount ticket offices, marinas, gear rental centers, youth and teen recreation centers, child care centers, food and beverage facilities, and more. MWR is also the event planner for the military.

Beyond the Bridge Run, MWR produces fitness and sporting competitions, educational activities, military child appreciation event, on-going Community Recreation trips, leisure skill classes and recreation programs and seasonal celebrations such as our Spring Fling, Freedom Festival, Beach Bash and the Family Holiday Party.
