Description
The science is clear: to finally, fully defeat the COVID-19 virus, humanity must achieve herd immunity as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, only 7% of people in low and middle income countries have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Until more of the world is vaccinated none of us will be safe. Join us on this 5k fun run - either in person or virtually - to demonstrate your solidarity for vaccine equity and raise funds through the Get1Give1 an initiative to help increase access to COVID vaccines. Humanity is in a race against time. Your contribution can help us win.
The race 5km will be held at 9:00am on March 12 at Crissy Field in San Francisco. ***NOTE NEW DATE***
The small print: Aside from a 3% registration fee, your race sign up donation will go to COVAX-AMC, the global mechanism created to buy and distribute vaccines to 92 lower-income countries.COVAX-AMC will spend all the money you contribute on vaccines for lower-income countries. Your funds will not pay for overhead costs. COVAX pays for all its administrative costs from its general operating budget and has regular independent audits. Get1Give1 Worldwide is an independent group of volunteers who pay for all our own administrative costs.

What time does the in-person 5K Vaccine Equity Run start?
The 5k will begin at 9am. Please arrive 15 minutes early to collect your packet and bib. Packet pick-up is near the East Beach Parking Lot at Crissy Field.
I am participating in the 5K Vaccine Equity Run in person, how do I get my bib?
Bib pick-up is available near the East Beach Parking Lot at Crissy Field. Look for a registration table. Bibs will be in alphabetical order by last name. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get your number.
I am running/walking the 5k virtually and will not be at race day, how do I access my digital race day bib?
You can access your virtual bib by going to runsignup.com. Once there, sign into your account and view your profile. Select the Upcoming Events tab, once selected, you should find the digital bib link.

How do I post my running/walking 5k results?
Log into Your RunSignup account. Go to your profile. Click Submit Virtual Results for 5k Vaccine Equity Fun Run.
You can submit and manage your own results directly from the 5k Vaccine Equity Fun Run page or from your RunSignup profile. During registration, you had the option to sign up for text messages or email which allows you to submit your finish time.

How can I share photos?
Taking photos in encouraged! You can share your photos the following three ways:
- Upload photos following the submission of your results or activities.
- Upload photos from the Photos tab on 5k Fun Run for Vaccine Equity race page.
- Upload photos from your own individual result.
