Join us for McKinley Elementary School’s
2nd Annual Virtual Doggie Dash 5K/Fun Run!
We’re back and better than before! Get ready for the return of in-person DogFest with the Second Annual Virtual Doggie Dash 5K/Fun Run!
For those new to DogFest, it is a community fundraiser, dog show and family fun event in Duboce Park to benefit the students of McKinley Elementary School in San Francisco, California. We can’t wait to see you back at DogFest on April 23rd!
Let's get ready for DogFest with the Second Annual Doggie Dash 5K/Fun Virtual Run!.
This is a virtual 5K running/jogging/walking event. Complete the run anytime from Saturday, April 9th through Friday, April 22nd.
Adults & youth (6th grade +) - 5K
Elementary grades K-3 - 1/2-mile Fun Run
Elementary grades 4-5 - 1-mile Fun Run
Run solo or with your two- and/or four-legged (canine) friends! Get outside in support of McKinley Elementary!
Here’s how it works…
1. Sign up for Doggie Dash 2022 Virtual 5K/Fun Run at runsignup.com
$25 if you sign up by Sunday, April 3
$30 if you sign up from Monday, April 4 to Friday, April 22
All kids can enter the 1/2-mile or 1-mile fun run for free!
2. Saturday, April 9 to Friday, April 23 - COMPLETE YOUR 5K or FUN RUN!
Track your time!
For best results, use a fitness-based app like Strava, Garmin, or Apple Health. Or manually enter your time, the event is open to all!
3. Submit results at runsignup.com!
4. Come Duboce Park for DogFest on April 23rd for announcement of the winners!
(You don’t have to be present at DogFest to win)
Winners for adult participants will include top finishers in each category:
Open - 3 categories (Men’s, Women’s and Non-Binary)
Masters (40+) - 3 categories (Men’s, Women’s and Non-Binary Winners)
Prizes for winners of the adult categories: $50 gift certificate from A Runner’s Mind, one of the Bay Area’s favorite running stores.
UPDATE***All adult participants will receive an exclusive DogFest water bottle. These are high quality 28 oz aluminum water bottles with threaded snap-fit lid and carrying handle. Currently available only to race participants.
Winners for kid participants will include top three finishers in each category:
Group 1 - Kindergarten and 1st Grade students
Group 2 - 2nd and 3rd Grade students
Group 3 - 4th and 5th Grade students
