Why run as a Team?

Everyone races individually, but teaming up increases your chances to win!

5K Runners: Compete not only for individual glory but also for a special team prize! The winners are determined by the average speed of the team members. Teams can include anything from 3 up to 10 members.

2K & kids' dashes: Being part of a fun, supportive group is a reward in itself! There are no size limits—bring as small or large a crew as you'd like.

Best team costume will also be awarded!

Put on your most creative costume to win

Viking spirit is all about courage, adventure, and pushing limits—but they’re not the only ones!

Suit up as modern-day fighters and explorers— think elite athletes, astronauts, firefighters, even scientists. Channel the curiosity and fearless spirit of those breaking the glass ceilings.

Creativity counts—the best individual & team costumes win!

Support the Viking Run and Make a Difference!

At the Viking Run, we use peer-to-peer fundraising to amplify our impact through the power of community!

Each registered participant gets their own personal fundraising page, which they can share with friends, family, and colleagues. It’s a simple and meaningful way for every runner to help raise funds for the Scandinavian School & Cultural Center’s programs—and this year, 50% of all proceeds will also support Children of Shelters, benefiting children experiencing homelessness in San Francisco. Every small donation adds up to something big when we do it together!

Join us in making a lasting impact!
