The Go Green Saint Patrick's Day Run is back again for another great year to celebrate shamrocks and leprechauns and everything Irish in the month of March. It's our 10th anniversary and we'll actually be running on St. Patrick's Day.
Just added: VIRTUAL 5K and 10K Distances. We know that sometimes you're busy or out of town but would still like to participate. Matbe you have a friend or family members who doesn't live close to you and you'd like to share the experience. We've added a virtual 5K and 10K to Go Green this year so that you can do your run anywhere on St. Patrick's Day and share the experience. Registrants for the Virtual Race need to register by Feb 28 and will receive your bib number in the mail approximately one week before the event. Once you have completed the event and submitted your results to a special results page you will be able to print a finisher certificate and we will send you your finisher medal and shirt. There is a limit of 50 participants in each virtual distance. While you will have several days to post your results we'd really like it if you'd actually do the run on St. Partrick's Day to stay in the spirit of the event - but you can do it whenever if you need to! Don't forget to post photos to our Facebook Page too!
Start time is at 9:00 am on Sunday morning so you can sleep in a bit. We'll make a weekend of celebrating the green. In order to provide an amazing experience for all runners, our registration will be capped at 800 participants this year due to the location change and we expect another sell out - so register soon. We will again be offering a great tech tee and finishers medals for all distances.
Half Marathon start 9:00 am
10K start at 9:10 percent am
5K start at 9:20 am
All 3 courses will run on the Coyote Creek Trail. The Half Marathon and 10K will be an out and back along the trail. The Half Marathon will go to Metcalf Park and the 10K will go to the Creekside Sports Complex area before returning to the park.
You can view each of the course maps on Map My Run by clicking on the course name below. Due to recent winter storms we have had to make an adjustment to previously published course maps. The new course maps can be viewed by clicking on the links below.
So get your green on and join us for the only St. Patrick's Day run in the South Bay!
We will be designating Rotary International's Polio Plus effort as our official beneficiary for this event.

Hellyer Park and the Coyote Creek Trail offer a beautiful setting for a run. The entire course is mostly flat and completely paved with tree and creek views can't be matched anywhere in the area. You'll run past meadows and streams on tree lined trails without any street crossings or traffic.
There are basically two entrances to Hellyer Park - one from Hwy 101 and the other from San Jose via Hellyer Avenue. Please note that the entire north end of the park is closed due to the flooding. We will be located at the Cottonwood Group Area at the south end of the lake. There is lots of parking in all of the lots within the park. For 2019 the far south end of Cottonwood parking will be closed for the start finish area and volunteer drop - off.
The park will collect $6 for each car entering the park. So if you can carpool that's a really good thing!
Dressing up for the race is entirely optional but it sure is a lot of fun! It's great to see how creative runners can be.
