Description
Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center is proud to host a Race to Rebuild! This race benefits the The Trauma Survivors Network (TSN). The TSN was developed in 2008 by the American Trauma Society (ATS). This program is designed to help trauma centers provide the support and services patients and their families need during recovery from serious traumatic injuries. The program works to:
- Bring together trauma survivors and families to connect with one another and share support and information about the recovery process
- Establish a network of state-of-the-art, hospital-based peer support programs and other resources for trauma survivors and their families
- Train health care providers to deliver the best care and support to patients and their families and friends
- Build a community of advocates dedicated to improving prevention efforts, trauma outcomes and trauma system
There are two parts to our 'Race to Rebuild'; a virtual 10K/5K/1 mile run/walk/cycle/roll AND an in-person 1-mile walk at Sierra Vista on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at 10 AM. Anyone can join in support of trauma survivors and the incredible challenges they face every day. This virtual event allows anyone, anywhere to join in support of friends, family, and others who challenge themselves everyday to adapt to their "new normal". We will have an in-person 1-mile walk in support of Trauma Survivors everywhere on Saturday, June 5th, 2021, however, you can choose any day up to that date to virtually complete your 10K or 5k run, walk, cycle, or roll.
This event benefits the programs and services provided by the ATS and TSN which dedicates their mission to Save Lives, Improve Care and Empower Survivors. Register today!
