Casa Familiar's 50th Anniversary Abrazo 5K/10K Fundraiser Celebrates: A history of Advocacy for Human Rights - A future of Equitable Transformation, a course that takes participants along the San Ysidro-Tijuana border on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 7:15am to 11:00am. The program will begin promptly at 7:15am.
This year, Casa Familiar celebrates its 50th year as a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving the community of San Ysidro and low-income individuals with the mission to enhance quality of life for low income individuals and families through Advocacy, Social Services, Education, Affordable Housing, Arts and Culture, a Community and Economic Development. Our focus continues to be on community and movement building to advance the movement towards justice and equity for communities like San Ysidro, and celebrate community champions and leaders who partake in this journey.
Proceeds will support Casa Familiar's leading community and economic development initiatives, direct services, community events, social justice efforts, and a community led economic and environmental resiliency master plan.
We strongly recommend that participants use public transportation. The Blue Line Trolley, will leave you at walking distance from the start/end location of the event: 4330 Camino De La Plaza, San Ysidro, CA 92173.
