Transition and USAT Rules Clinic

You've put in the time for swim, bike and run but have you spent any time thinking about what you do in between each of these segments?  Frequently transition is an afterthought but it should be just as important as swim, bike and run.   If you've watched a race, or participated in one, you know that some people are really fast and some people struggle.  Your transitions can make or break your race!

Join us for a transition and USAT rules clinic. It will help answer a lot of questions, make your transitions smoother, and take the mystery out of those USAT rules that you probably haven't read or even heard of!

There are two clinics - each a week before the September triathlons in Santa Cruz - Ironman 70.3 Santa Cruz and the SC Triathlon produced by Santa Cruz Triathlon Association. 

Clinic 1 is Saturday, September 3 and Clinic 2 is Saturday, September 17

• Each clinic is approximately two hours long and will take place in Depot Park - the location for both transitions. 
• We'll have bike racks set up in the plaza of the park so you can practice going from swim to bike and bike to run as well as fine tuning your gear set-up for maximum speed.
• Both clinics will start at 10:00am.  That means you can come early and go for a swim before you attend the clinic and you will still have time for a bike ride or run afterwards. 

You do not need to purchase a USAT daily license for this clinic.   If your major race is over this will help you get ready for next year, or those late season races that is your your list.
