North Bay Virtual 5k/ 10k Run and Walk

Introduction: 

The North Bay has been attacked by wild fires. These wildfires has taken one too many lives, way too many homes, and businesses. I personally have a couple friends whom have lost their home and place they work. People have literally lost everything. This virtual race to 100% benefit those effected by the North Bay Fires. My goal is to help out the community and give them hope.

About the race:

If you don’t know how a virtual race works it is a race you sign up, run or walk anywhere, and anytime on race day you want. It will be from 12:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on December 23rd 2017. You can run or walk as much as you want on that day just as long as you do at least a 5k or 10k distance and record it. The distance of a 5k is 3.1 miles and the 10k distance is 6.2 miles.

You can run or walk more than the distance you sign up for but you must record the distance you chose. You may win prizes from race sponsors. You can do this on your own or in a group with friends and family. This is an all over event from coast to coast. I personally will host a group run somewhere in The North Bay on December 23rd. Location and time is unknown at this point.

All distances for both the running and walking event will be priced at $25. 100% of the $25 is guaranteed to help the community who has been effected by these wildfires. This is a 100% non profit event but standard taxes will apply with an additional small fee for the race site host. Hundreds of dollars worth of raffle prizes from sponsors such as Nuun, Sport’s Basement locates in several Bay Area locations, and Buff headwear which is located right in Santa Rosa.
