Join us for the official Simi 250 5K, a fun and spirited community run celebrating America’s 250th birthday and the heart of our Simi Valley community.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or simply looking for a great way to start your Independence Day festivities, the Simi 250 5K is designed to bring people of all ages and abilities together for a morning of energy, connection, and celebration.
The course follows the beautiful Arroyo Simi Greenway, offering a scenic and accessible route that welcomes runners, walkers, families, and friends alike. Along the way you’ll experience the excitement of race day, the encouragement of fellow participants, and the pride of being part of a historic national milestone.

The SIMI 250 5K Run celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with a community race in Simi Valley. Runners of all levels are welcome to participate in this patriotic event honoring our nation’s history and local community.
The race will start and finish at the Rancho Simi Community Park (Duck Park), using sections of the Arroyo Simi Greenway for a scenic and safe course.
The SIMI 250 5K is scheduled to begin on Friday, July 3 at 7:30 AM. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking, bib pickup, and warm-up.
Yes. The race will be professionally timed, and results will be available after the event.
Absolutely. The SIMI 250 5K welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities. This event is designed to be fun and inclusive for the whole community.
Official SIMI 250 5K shirts and tanks are available as optional add-ons during registration. Race participants receive a discounted price when adding apparel during sign-up.
Finisher medals will be awarded to participants who complete the race.
Parking will be available for FREE at Rancho Simi Community Park (Duck Park) with roughly 180 spaces and along nearby streets. Participants are encouraged to arrive early and consider carpooling when possible.
Yes. Water stations will be available on the course, and water will also be available at the finish line.
Well-behaved dogs and strollers are welcome. For safety, we ask participants with dogs or strollers to start toward the back of the starting group and will assume all risk and responsibility for their dog's behavior.
Yes. The event is also raising funds for The Landon Pediatric Foundation, supporting Ventura County families with children living with Cystic Fibrosis. Donations can be added during registration. 100% of donations (after fees) will be going directly to the foundation.
Race registrations are non-refundable, but you may transfer your registration if needed. Details will be provided closer to race day.
The race will follow a flat and scenic route along the Arroyo Simi Greenway, making it ideal for both runners and walkers. The course is mostly paved, with a short spell of mixed terrain, and designed to be accessible for participants of all experience levels.
Participants will receive details about bib pickup prior to race day. In many cases, bib pickup will be available the day before or on race morning before the start of the event. Registered runners will receive instructions by email as the event approaches.
