Have you ever had a teacher that made a huge impact on you?
Let's use this event as a way to highlight all of those people out there that made our lives what they are now.
The High Five For Teachers 5K was an event created by a teacher in Stockton, California. It began in distance-learning, a time where all teachers were experiencing extreme levels of mental fatigue and burnout. Isaiah Stowers, a science teacher in Lodi Unified School District decided it would be best if he and his colleagues all had a chance to get away from the zoom calls and get outside and breathe some fresh air. “Teachers deal with a lot, so this run is a chance for anyone, teacher or not, to recognize a teacher that has made an impact on their life or simply a teacher who is doing a great job around the globe.“ a portion of proceeds go towards helping students and parents struggling with literacy, access, or homelessness.
