A Race That Gives Back
Since 2016, the Superhero Fun Run has celebrated the anniversary of the Mark Green Sports Center while supporting an important cause. A portion of every registration—$5 per participant—will be donated to the Parkinson’s Foundation through our Union City Moving Day team. Your steps make a real difference!

Supporting A Great Cause
The Mark Green Sports Center will dedicate $5 from each registration to our Parkinson's Foundation Moving Day Fundraising Team. Since 2016, our Union City Parkinson's Exercise program team has helped raise over $100,000 for people with Parkinson's. Later this year the Parkinson's Foundation will host the annual Moving Day event which raises funds and awareness for Parkinson's. Our Parkinson's Exercise Program in Union City was created thanks to community grants from the Parkinson's Foundation and made possible by events like Moving Day. March 8, 2026 – Superhero 5k Fun Run & Walk
$5 from ever registration for this event goes towards the Parkinson’s Foundation. Grab your cape and cowl and race towards the finish line. This race will have photos, raffles, costume contests, and a professional timing system.
June 2026 – TRYathlon
Effort over competition. This event is composted of a 15 minutes of swimming, 15 minutes of spin biking, and 15 minutes of running around the Dan Oden Swim Complex. Scores will be calculated based on distance covered in each leg of the event. All fitness levels are welcome! Look for up-to-date information in our Summer 2025 Activity Guide.
December 2026 – Reindeer 5K Fun Run & Walk
Join us for our first ever festive 5K filled with holiday cheer! This fun run/walk features a professional timing system, hot chocolate, photos with Santa, and a Christmas-themed costume contest. Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category. All ages and fitness levels welcome—costumes encouraged!
