Description

We Will Find a Cure is happy to present our third annual super casual, super fun #BeatCancer race again offering both a Virtual and Live Event.   As always, 100% of the proceeds will go to help find a cure for cancer via the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  This particular event is themed the Road to Kona because it is part of a $130,000 goal leading to the Ironman World Championships on October 14, 2017.  Christopher Wilno was nominated for a charity slot to the World Championships tied to a deeply personal story but this race and the overall Road to Kona is for everyone ever touched by cancer and so that the future can perhaps be cancer free.  You can read more about the overall story at We Will Find a Cure .  We have designed some awesome t-shirts and medals whether you choose our live event in Venice, CA or choose to run on your own as part of our virtual event.

Live 5K Fun Run

If you are in SoCal and available, please join us Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Cabo Cantina in Venice California as we raise funds to help rid this world of cancer.  This is a super casual and super fun event.  There are no timing chips but there are some awesome shirts and medals and, if you choose, all you can drink mimosas and Bloody Mary’s at Cabo Cantina after the race.  Feel free to push yourself.  Be as competitive as you want.  Be as un-competitive as you want.  This is about a group of people getting together to hit the streets of Venice, gather afterward for food and drinks all the while knowing we made a difference.  Just a reminder, 100% of the proceeds will go to charity.  Even Cabo Cantina is donating a portion of their proceeds to the cause.

Virtual Race

If you do not live in SoCal or simply cannot join us for our live event, please sign up for our virtual race and join the Road to Kona with us.  Price includes a bib, medal, Road to Kona t-shirt and shipping and allows you to run/walk whatever distance you want, whenever you want.  Run/walk a mile or complete an ultra-marathon or anything in between.

T-Shirts

Registration includes a t-shirt.  We have a a men's and women's version but purchase whatever style you like the best.  The front of the shirt features our logo and the back features a quote that has driven this journey for a long time. The quote is from Nelson Mandela and reads "It Always Seems Impossible Until It's Done". The shirt is super comfortable and sure to impress.  For folks buying the women's t-shirt, please see the sizing chart below because it is a junior fit.  You will see a picture of the shirt during registration but if you want a better view you can visit our store at https://squareup.com/store/we-will-find-a-cure .  You will also see that these shirts sell for $25 on their own!!

Womens Junior Fit Sizing Chart

The women's t-shirt is a junior fit.  The sizing chart below is from the manufacturer.  In general, ladies will go one size up from the size you normally wear.  My wife wears a Medium 99% of the time and Large was better for her.
