Jesse Pittman Memorial Fund 5K Run/Walk

Events:
5K Run/Walk for all ages (T-shirt included)
1K Kids Fun Run for ages 8 and under (T-shirt included)
5K Virtual Run for anyone anywhere (T-shirt and S&H included)
Timeline:
7:30 AM Race-day Registration Begins
8:30 AM Welcome & Scholarship Announcements
8:55 AM Moment of Silence & National Anthem
9:00 AM 5K Run/Walk Begins
10:00 AM 1K Kids Fun Run Begins
10:15 AM Award Ceremony, Raffle, & Pull-up Competition
10:45 AM Auction closes
11:00 AM Event closes
Race Packet pickup:
Everything will be handled on race day morning.
Race Location:
Recreation Grove Park (across the street from Mendocino County Museum)
Willits, CA 95490
Course:
The course will run along flat, paved roads. Runners will pass underneath
the Hwy 101 bypass that is dedicated to Jesse and finish at Grove Park.
Entry Fee for 5K Run/Walk:
Early registration online or postmarked by June 30th, 2024
$35 for ages 19+, $15 for ages 13-18, $10 for ages 12 & under (includes T-shirt)
Normal registration online (closes July 24) or in-person on race day
$40 for ages 19+, $15 for ages 13-18, $10 for ages 12 & under (includes T-shirt)
*Additional T-shirts available for sale on first come / first serve basis.
Awards for 1st place Overall and Age Groups.
It pays to be a winner!
The Cause:
The Jesse Pittman Fund honors the legacy of a local hero who died serving in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011.
All proceeds sponsor a college scholarship for Mendocino County high school students to pursue their passion for service.
This will be the final year of the 5K race, but the scholarship in Jesse's honor will continue.
Join us to pay tribute to Jesse and meet this year's scholarship recipient!
