COVID-19 GUIDELINES

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONARY GUIDELINES FOR YOUR SAFETY

Registration: Volunteers & race personnel will wear masks and gloves at all times. Hand sanitizer and gloves will be available for volunteers and participants.  In-person race registration will have multiple registration areas so distancing can be maintained.

Bathrooms/Porta potties: Run club will invest in hand sanitizing stations &/or hand wash stations for porta potties. 

Start line protocol: As this is a chip-timed race, we will use a starting mat and incorporate socially-distanced starts for all participants.

Water stations: Extra tables will be used to spread out the area. Volunteers will wear gloves and masks at all times, including while initially filling cups and picking them up. Cups will be spread out to avoid touching. Volunteers will NOT hand cups to participants.

Finish area protocol: Volunteers will wear masks and gloves in the finish area at all times. Participants and supporters will not be allowed to congregate in the area. Medals will be lying on the table for participants to pick up once they cross the finish line. This area will be monitored by race personnel and volunteers. 

Post-race food protocol: We will encourage participants to pick up their snacks, re-mask, and disperse as soon as possible. 

Awards protocol:  Awards can be picked up at the Chris Hope Foundation office by appointment.

Announcements will be made periodically during all events to remind all attendees to practice social distancing. There will not be a post race party. 
Masks and social distancing will be strictly enforced, as we will to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
