PACKET PICKUP/REGISTRATION:

Early packet pickup will be Friday  prior to the event 5:00pm- 6:30pm
Blacksburg Rec/Community center

Packet pick-up day-of: 7:30-10:00 a.m. at Claytor Lake State Park.
You may register morning of- Cash or check if we are not sold out.

You must be registered by April 10th to be guaranteed a t-shirt. We work hard to keep our event prices low for our participants and in doing so we need to order our shirts well in advance.

Families are welcome, but we ask that children 12 & under race with an adult. 13 and over will be at the discretion of the parent- please note that the course takes you through the woods and your child should be comfortable with navigating course markings. 

Course Information:

You can expect at least cold water, sand, mud, climbing, crawling, and much more. We change the course up year to year and try to add new events in. Show up to find what awaits you. 

Starting Line:

Exact location TBD at Claytor Lake State Park in Dublin, VA

Groups of 20 will go off every 8 minutes to help avoid congestion at obstacles. Start times are selected during registration and are first come, first serve. For teams/groups, register as a team (start or join one) so that you can manage all your start times together. There will be no changes made at the start line. Everyone will be checked in when entering the starting corral.

Aid Stations:

One approximately 1.5 miles into the race.

Directions: 

From I-81, take Exit 101 (Claytor Lake) to State Park Road (State Route 660), this will lead you right into the park.

From Blacksburg, VA: ~30 miles
From Wytheville, VA: ~31 miles 
From Princeton, WV: ~54 miles
From Martinville, VA: ~75 miles

Weather:

The weather in late April- early May is usually warm and sunny with temperatures in the 70's. Be prepared for anything however as wind and rain can change the temperatures drastically.

Parking:

Plenty of parking is available, just follow the signs.

Awards:

Everyone will receive a finisher medal at the finish.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

There will be no Refunds for Any Reason. Participants may defer their entry to another TriAdventure event or to this race in 2020. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms. Thank you for understanding. If you wish to defer to 2019 you can manage that when you log into your Runsignup acct. Deferral deadline is April 20th. No deferrals will be accepted after this date.
