Description

Alamosa Parks and Recreation and San Luis Valley Great Outdoors are partnering to host the 3rd annual “Valley Bottom Rio Trio”; an adventure-style triathlon race within the City of Alamosa! This fully chip-timed race will feature an 8-mile trail bike ride, a 3-mile paddle on the Rio Grande, and a 5k+ run. Participants will be given the option of doing all three legs of the race solo, or as a part of a 3-person relay team. Bring your own boat or rent a kayak or standup paddleboard from us! This year's race will take place on the morning of Saturday, May 27th. An outdoor awards ceremony, lunch served by local food vendors, and local beer libations will take place following the race. A children's adventure triathlon (ages 6-11) will take place after the main event!
