Description
The 1920 Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium came to an end on September 12. One hundred years later, run for your own gold. With COVID-19 affecting travel, choose your distance and virtually complete this run anywhere. All proceeds will go to support Oasis Belgium, an anti-human trafficking organization with projects in Antwerp, Belgium.
Why Oasis Belgium? Because all people deserve a life free from slavery and manipulation. In Belgium, approximately 400 - 500 cases of exploitation are reported each year. Since 2007, Oasis Belgium has been active in fighting human trafficking and poverty in the country. With multiple projects to help accomplish this, some include: Thai Welcome Project, Mail Order Bride Project, and Brussels Children's Project. In addition, Belgium has seen the highest per capita number of cases during the COVID-19 pandemic.
One hundred years ago, Antwerp, Belgium hosted 2,622 athletes from 29 countries for the Olympic Games. On September 12 this year, get outside and run to support Belgium.
