What is the Fort Collins Virtual Cross Country Club?
Unfortunately there have been many sports and race cancellations due to COVID-19, but that doesn't mean the running, competition, and fun has to end! The Virtual XC Club provides a way for middle school age students to be motivated to train and race and compete virtually with their own teammates and other schools/runners.
The Fort Collins Virtual Cross Country Club offers a fully supported cross country program consisting of a training mileage challenge and 4-virtual races.
A virtual race is a race you run on your own (or with others following social distancing and COVID-19 safety precautions), on a day, location, and course of your choosing. Pre-measure your course or use a gps watch to make sure you run the 2-mile race distance and time it yourself. Submit your time when you are finished to be included in the results to track your progress and compare your efforts.
