** Registration is free - please refer to link below purchase a t-shirt** (T-shirts ordered by 10/31 should arrive by 11/20; T-shirts ordered by 11/11 should arrive by 12/20 or so.)
What/ Where: Virtual 5K run anywhere you want!
When: Official race day is November 21st; however, run anytime in November all in a single run or spread out over as many days as you like.
Load results AND pictures: Once you complete the 5K, you can load your results through the "Results" menu button. To walk/ run over several days, just add the times together. Please also take photos! Pictures can only be loaded at the same time that you load your results.
Why? On October 5, 2020, Dan lost his battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and fatal brain disease. Prion diseases are a group of rare, invariably fatal brain disorders which occur both in humans and certain animals. In humans the best known of the prion diseases is CJD, which reportedly affects around one person per million per population per year. Most of the cases are "sporadic" CJD (sCJD), occurring for no known reason. There is currently no cure for CJD. Please run with us to celebrate Dan and help raise awareness! We welcome you to make a donation to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Foundation. With your help, this Foundation can continue its mission to be available for every family who seeks support, whether by providing information, offering a referral for a second opinion, or supporting research aimed at finding a treatment and a cure for this terrible category of diseases.
Race Shirt
Please wear your t-shirt proudly for Dan! If your order by November 11th, you should have your shirt by December 20th (shirts ordered by 10/31 should arrive by 11/20). **If you don't have a shirt for your 5K, please print out your bib by going to "Profile" (menu upper right corner) and scrolling down to the menu on the right "View digital bib" and print from there**
