Traffic and Parking
The park is under construction again this year. Traffic will only be allowed into the park to those traveling west on Henderson Rd (i.e. if you are traveling east on Henderson Rd you will not be able to make a left turn into the park; use the roundabout to get headed west to make a right turn into the park). Once in the park, participants will be directed to turn right onto Golf Course Way. From there you will turn left on Park Blvd.
Parking is available in either the Waymire Dome parking lot or the lot north of the dome. No one will be permitted to turn onto Campground Rd unless they have a handicap placard. Anyone who has a handicap placard will be permitted to turn right onto Campground Rd to proceed to the parking lot closest to the race start.
Please note that all traffic will be directed to turn right (west) onto Henderson Rd upon leaving the park.
As always, allow enough time to walk to the race start from the parking lot, carpool if you can, and be patient with your fellow humans.
What to Bring/What Not to Bring
- Although the forecast looks great, it is April in Colorado, so please come prepared! This is a Rain, Snow, or Shine event and refunds will not be available due to weather or non-attendance
- This year we will have two food trucks serving breakfast burritos and sweet treats & coffee. Both trucks accept credit cards. We will also have cuties and chocolate milk at the finish line, and there will be several water stations along the route, at the finish line, and at the Wellness Festival
- Strollers are welcome.
- Dogs are discouraged due to the size of the event as well as park restrictions.
Adaptive Devices/Extra Assistance Needed
Please email Lisle.M.Reed@adams12.org if you will be using an adaptive device or need additional assistance, so that we can connect you with the person who will be your point of contact on the day of the event!
Wellness Festival
This year's Wellness Festival will be from 8am-11am in the grassy area by the start and finish. Vendors and community organizations will have family-friendly cultural and athletic activities, food samples, giveaways, and information for everyone (open to all - you do not need to be registered for the race to attend).
