🧑🚒 The Why - Let's RUN to honor our Fire Heroes
Inspired by stories of personal loss from fires across the country, RUN to Change Lives has created a new challenge to honor our Fire Heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and neighbors, and to promote fire prevention awareness. The challenge occurs during the first week of May, from the 1st to the 7th.
HOW IT WORKS
🧯 Step 1: Sign up and create your own Fire Crew team or join any existing Fire Crew team
🧯 Step 2: Download and save the infographic plan:
-
May 1st - 5th: We work out like a firefighter by challenging ourselves to do different movements each day. Reps can be completed all at once, in rounds, or throughout the day.
-
May 6th or 7th: We all run a 5k virtually from anywhere
🧯 Step 3: Join the RUN to Change Lives Facebook Group where you can post your activities and participate in all the action.
🧯 Step 4: Ask friends and family to sponsor your activity and honor our fallen firefighters by donating to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Any amount helps $1, $5, or $10 to reach our goal of raising $1000. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation honors the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and neighbors.
Our charity partner is the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
GIVEAWAYS - PARTICIPATING FIRE STATIONS PRINTED ON THE BACKS!
All participants will receive our inaugural tri-blend District t-shirt with participating station names printed on the back. T-shirts are printed and shipped after the challenge has ended. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
