Join Every Child Pediatrics (ECP) and Presenting Sponsor Suncor Energy for the 3rd Annual Champions for Children 5K + Fun Run, a fun and inspiring event designed to bring our community together in support of Coloradoâs largest safety net clinic for children. The mission is simple and powerful - to provide care to every child, regardless of their circumstance or ability to pay.Â
Whether youâre an avid runner, a casual walker, or simply want to enjoy a day of family-friendly activities while supporting an impactful non-profit, thereâs something for everyone at this event!
Net proceeds from this event go directly to the Every Child Pediatrics Care for Every Child Fund to help uninsured children access care. Funds also support families in Commerce City.Â

- 5K participants receive a commemorative 30th Anniversary race tee and commemorative 30th Anniversary finisher medal. Â
- Fun Run participants receive access to the family-friendly finisher village (face painting, sketch artists, music, and more!)
- Paws for the Cause receive a commemorative 30th Anniversary doggy bandana. Â

5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
Kickstart your day with our 5K race, a scenic route perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether youâre looking to set a new personal best or enjoy a leisurely walk, this event is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle while making a difference. Runners receive an official race shirt as part of their registration.
Fun Run (1 Mile)
Our Family Fun Run is fun for the whole family, designed for those who want to join the excitement at their own pace and with a kid-friendy vibe. This shorter route is perfect for kids, parents with strollers, or anyone looking to enjoy a fun, active morning together.

Commerce City is the home of this yearâs event, but our mission reaches children and families across Colorado. Since 2020, Every Child Pediatrics has provided care to more than 13,000 children in Commerce City, including children who are uninsured and face barriers to care. When you race with us, youâre helping ensure that every childâhere in Commerce City and throughout Coloradoâcan access the care they need, regardless of circumstance. This 5K gives us a chance to come together in one of the communities we serve while supporting our mission to reach children across Colorado.

This event is dedicated to the memory of Kristen Maddoux, PA-C, an avid runner and a true âChampion for Every Child.â Kristen dedicated her career to caring for vulnerable children at Every Child Pediatrics, and her passion for running and helping others continues to inspire us. Join us in honoring her legacy as we work together to ensure that every child in Colorado has access to the care they need.

- 5K Commemorative Race Shirt - All runners registered by August 31st are guaranteed a shirt of their requested size by race day. Registrations after the August 31st will receive a shirt, but it may be shipped after race day.
- Medals and Certificates for Top Finishers
No, there is no time limit to complete the race.
Yes, race-day registration is available.
Yes! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on the course. Please register your dog using the Paws for the Cause registration. Registered dogs will receive a commemorative 30th Anniversary doggy bandana, available for pickup at Bib Pickup.
