Join Every Child Pediatrics for the 3rd Annual Champions for Children 5K + Fun Run, a fun and inspiring event designed to bring our community together in support of Colorado’s uninsured children. Whether you’re an avid runner, a casual walker, or simply want to enjoy a day of family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone at this event!
Every Child Pediatrics is a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on a mission to provide comprehensive health care to every child, regardless of their circumstance, insurance status, or ability to pay. We are the largest safety net clinic for children in Colorado. We provide a Medical Home for children with complex life situations, and offer services to support their entire health and well-being. We see a high number of uninsured children, as well as children enrolled in Medicaid. We never turn a child away.

5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
Kickstart your day with our 5K race, a scenic route perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether you’re looking to set a new personal best or enjoy a leisurely walk, this event is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle while making a difference. Runners receive an official race shirt as part of their registration.
Fun Run (1 Mile)
Our Family Fun Run is fun for the whole family, designed for those who want to join the excitement at their own pace and with a kid-friendy vibe. This shorter route is perfect for kids, parents with strollers, or anyone looking to enjoy a fun, active morning together. This event is especially powerful for our patients and their families.
Tentative Schedule
- 7:30 AM: Registration & Bib Pickup Opens
- 8:30 AM: Family Fun Run Start Time
- 9:00 AM: 5k Run/Walk Start Time
- 10:15 AM: Award Ceremony & Recognition of Top Finishers
- 11:30 AM: Event Concludes
- Family Activities & Vendor Booths Open During Entire Event

Bib/Packet Pickup will start at 7:30am MT at the race location.

Commerce City holds a special place in our hearts. Since 2020, Every Child Pediatrics has provided care to over 13,000 children in this community, with 10% being uninsured. By participating in this event, you’re directly supporting families in Commerce City and helping to bridge the gap for those without coverage.

This event is dedicated to the memory of Kristen Maddoux, PA-C, an avid runner and a true “Champion for Every Child.” Kristen dedicated her career to caring for vulnerable children at Every Child Pediatrics, and her passion for running and helping others continues to inspire us. Join us in honoring her legacy as we work together to ensure that every child in Colorado has access to the care they need.
