Rhino Crash

Join Rocky Mountain AAZK in "Going the Distance" for all 5 species of rhinos and their habitats by participating in our annual Rhino Crash event. This event supports the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) Bowling for Rhinos (BFR) campaign.

Due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 events will be VIRTUAL.

 A virtual event means that you can participate from anywhere, in your time table as long as it's within the event dates.

• at home
• around your neighborhood (while practicing safe social distancing)
• open space (while practicing safe social distancing)
• at work (great option for those with physical jobs, a.k.a animal care staff...HINT HINT)

How can I participate?

This year, there are two types of events: BIPEDAL or RIDE

• We don't care if you walk / jog / run / skip / saunter / bounce / meander / slither / slide / dance or stampede.  We just want you to get up, move and "Go the Distance" to save rhinos!
• For the BIPEDAL event, you may use equipment such as a treadmill, elliptical, stair climber, etc., to help reach your distance goal.
• For the RIDE event, you may use equipment such as a bicycle, tricycle, skateboard, scooter, etc. to help reach your distance goal.
• After the race time, just log-in to your participant page and record your distance traveled.  It's that easy!

Participate on your own, form a CRASH (group of rhinos), FUNdraise, and Earn PRIZES!! 

Registration  

$30 - Adults

$20 - RMAAZK Members

$10 - Kids (ages 3-10)

Free - under age 2

*pricing will be reflected at registration completion.

• Individual - TOP fundraiser
• CRASH - TOP fundraiser
• Most Distance Traveled - BIPEDAL event
• Most Distance Traveled - RIDE event
• CRASH with Best Team Name

SWAG

This year, we are hosting a Bonfire campaign for event shirts. Purchase your shirts before May 2nd to have them in time for the start of the event on May 20th.  (Shirts purchased after May 2nd are not guaranteed to arrive before event.)
