Description
Ready to Run?
This year has been a nightmare on so many levels, leaving many without a clear vision of their future and any motivation. By utilizing something as finishing a 5k race, we want to give you a better plan for a clear future. What's better than starting off a new season with a fresh run and opportunity to help others?
By participating in the first Summit 5k, you are helping fundraise for young student-athletes who are uncertain about their own future and college vision. By collaborating with AMATA Sports, the aim is to raise $10k in supporting a local nonprofit aimed at helping high school students use athletics to bridge the opportunity of a college education and successful future.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE
A virtual race is a run or walk that can be completed by participants anytime and anywhere. Reasons to participate in virtual races vary, but the most prominent today is to stay healthy with a goal, while still adhering to health guidelines to keep us all safe. Virtual participation allows us to continue to support the organizations we love, standing together even when we are apart, moving and connecting with our community!

Meet the Directors:
Jeremy Dodson, Two-Time Olympian, Coach, Cookie Lover
- You will not typically find Jeremy bringing attention to himself, but standing in the background observing and assisting those in need, whether with a smile, helping hand, or otherwise. He hates to see people struggling alone and does all he can to provide a welcoming situation. Jeremy strongly supports the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation, a condition he also struggles with, which causes a brain tumor. Jeremy underwent chemotherapy/radiation while still competing and qualifying for the World Championships and Olympics. Jeremy credits running with saving his life while living with his traumatic brain condition. In addition to education, competition, coaching, and training, Jeremy balances with part-time employment in customer service positions.
Amy Morrison, Licensed Counselor, Breath Coach, Key Note Speaker, Also Enjoys Cookies
