The University of Denver's Fifth Annual Crimson Classic 5K and 1.5 Mile Walk is a fun event bringing together faculty, staff and students to celebrate wellness and show our Pioneer pride. All participants will receive a 5th Annual Crimson Classic tech t-shirt and timing chip.

Packet Pickup - Pre Race Packet Pick Up will be  Tuesday, September 19th from 11am - 1pm in Driscoll Student Center - Room 127 - Commerce Room. Packet Includes: Crimson Classic Shirt & Timing Chip. You may pick up your bib and shirt as well as register for the race during this event.

Wednesday, September 20th -1:30pm - 2:30pm - Late Packet Pickup and Walk Up Registration - Driscoll Green

2:45pm - 3:00pm - Stretching and Kickoff

3:00pm - 5K Run and 1.5 Mile Walk

3:00pm - 5:00pm - Pre and post race party with local vendors

Bag check - There will be a bag check for your items at the race. Please note, DU is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please do not leave valuables.

Focus on fun and achieving your personal best time!

DU Faculty and Staff that participate in the Wellmetrics Portal will receive 500 points for completing the run/walk or volunteering. You will be able to award your own points this year on the portal.


If you do not already have a DU parking permit, Lot 108 will be open for free parking at 1pm with a valid permit. To get the permit, please contact Ryan Dodson at Ryan.Dodson@du.edu

Water Stations

The summer afternoons in Denver can reach warm temperatures, please be sure to hydrate prior, during, and after the event. Water stations will be located at the Start/Finish line and along the course.

Event Exclusions
Please limit the use of headphones at the race - try using only one earbud or turning the volume to low.
Strollers will be allowed this year, but please ensure to start in the back after all other runners and walkers. Pets are not allowed on course. Service animals are allowed. 

Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
