Big thanks to Animas Surgical Hospital for their generous support of this event!
One of Durango’s most popular running races for 30 years, the Turkey Trot presented by Animas Surgical Hospital features a 5 mile race and a 1 mile fun run. The Turkey Trot is a holiday tradition for the whole family. Come burn off some calories and work up an appetite before your big meal! All of the proceeds go to great local charities.
Student Union at Fort Lewis College, starting at 8:45am. Please arrive no later than 9:30am.
The course starts on the Fort Lewis College campus near the Student Union, proceeds around campus on Rim Drive, then up into the Hillcrest neighborhood, down past the reservoir, around the back of Hillcrest golf course, and back to the FLC campus for a finish at the clocktower.
Total distance is 4.9 miles.
One aid station with water and Powerade is provided.
There are a couple solid hill climbs, just enough to work up an appetite for your Thanksgiving dinner.
Similar to the 5-mile course, but 4 miles shorter.
Join us in the amphitheater adjacent to the finish line at 11:30am for a gobble contest, recognition of age group winners, and a prize drawing.
