Description
Welchester Elementary School PTA is proud to host the first annual SOAR 5K!
All proceeds will support the Welchester PTA's efforts including those at upgrading our playground areas that are 20+ years old!
Sign-up for the SOAR 5K Run (3.1 miles) that includes a scenic double loop course around Daniels Park and the Welchester Elementary community. Enjoy the challenge of lower grade hills in this event that is open to runners of all ages and abilities.
A great alternative to the Run, the SOAR 5K Walkers will follow the runners along the same 3.1 mile course including a two loops around Daniels Park. The walk is for all ages and fitness levels, so your entire family can participate.
For kids ages 12 and under, the SOAR KIDS FUN RUN is a 1K non-competitive event that loops runners through beautiful Welchester Tree Grant Park. Registration is required, though all children's entries are free in this event. This event will take place at the conclusion of the 5K Walk.
Last day to guarantee your t-shirt size is Friday April 12! Shirt sizes will be limited if order is placed after that date.

FAQs
Are pets allowed?
- Furry family members are allowed at our 5K run/walk as long as they are leashed at all times and do well in crowds. We also ask that pet parents take care of pet duties responsibly.
Are strollers/wagons allowed?
- Our 5k run/walk course is fit for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. We ask that you stay towards the back of the line to allow runners to pass easily.
