Please join us for the 1st annual Red, White, and WARRIOR 5k this Independence Day at Las Colonias! This family-friendly race is proudly hosted by and benefits the Central High School Warrior Marching Band. Runners, walkers, and move to the beat of your own drum'ers of all ages are welcome.

The morning will include the Star-Spangled Banner, 7:30 am Little Sparkler Sprint (about 1/4 mile) for kids 12 and under, 8:00 am Red, White, and WARRIOR 5k for any age, and a drum line finish line 🥁

Come celebrate Independence Day with movement, music, and community pride!

The Red, White, and WARRIOR 5k will be chip-timed!

Packet Pickup

Las Colonias Park, Tranquillo Shelter

•Friday 7/3, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

•Saturday 7/4, 6:30 am -7:45 am

Course Map below: The race will start next to the Tranquillo Shelter at Las Colonias park. From there it will follow the sidewalk toward the river and turn west, continuing west until the amphitheater behind the Botanical Gardens. It will then turn south and take the bridge over to Watson Island. It will make a full circle around Watson Island and begin to double back east toward the Butterfly Pond. It will make a full circle around the ponds, and head back to the start/finish line.

*Water will be available near the start/finish line. A water station will be available during the 5k at the bridge to Watson Island. There is a lion water fountain at the Amphitheater at Las Colonias. 
*Restrooms are available at the Tranquillo Shelter and at the Butterfly Pond.

Special note: The complete course will be paved to accommodate all participants.
