Early Packet Pickups

Race Day Packet Pickup

You will be able to pick up your timing bib and race shirt beginning at 7:30 a.m. on race morning at the start/finish line. Lines can be long to check in and early packet pickup is heavily encouraged.

The Backcountry Wilderness Half Marathon has spectacular views! The course is a single loop that is 100% on dirt/gravel/single track. Runners will have the potential to view wildlife along the way as well as soak in the amazing mountain views. 

There will be four aid stations on the course with water available. In our effort to respect the trails and follow the principles of LEAVE NO TRACE, we are trying to eliminate trash left on the trails. Bringing your own hydration system is highly encouraged.

Since the Backcountry Wilderness Half Marathon is a trail race in November, there is a potential to encounter mud, snow, or ice on the trail. We race rain, shine, sleet, or snow... unless excess moisture makes the trails inaccessible or creates a major safety hazard to participants. In that case, the race may be postponed.

For the safety of participants and potential Backcountry Wilderness Area wildlife, dogs and strollers are NOT allowed.

⏰ The Backcountry Wilderness Half Marathon will have two cut-off checkpoints:

• Aid station #4/Approximately 8.4 miles - 2 hours 30 minutes from start, or approximately 11:45 am
• Finish line - 3 hours 30 minutes from start, or approximately 12:45 pm
