Shoes & Brews and Nike Running Present:

The 8th edition of the CollaBEERation 5k Race & Brew Fest Party 

This is no April Fools Joke! We are bringing back the CollaBEERation 5k and Brew Fest to it's original date - the first Saturday in April and this year it falls on April 1st! 

 The CollaBEERation 5k & Brew Fest Race series has always been our chance to celebrate all of the things we love about our community in one rad event. A day to run fast, earn those drinks and celebrate the amazing community of people that surrounds us. Our 5k series has always had core values of more community, running, drinks and high fives. A celebration. 

Run like there's beer at the finish line. (Because there is).

We will host you in a beautiful 5k run/walk followed by a unbeatable after-race expo full of beer, cider, music, food and giveaways! And EVERYTHING is included in your race entry!

GOODIES: Your race entry includes:
  • 5k Chip-Timed Race along the beautiful St. Vrain Greenway
  • Amaing view of the mountains and Lone Peak!
  • Race Exclusive Trucker hat - that's going to rival some of our favorite race hats of all time!

Race Day - Saturday, April 1st, 2023 @ Shoes & Brews (63 S. Pratt Parkway, Longmont, CO. 80501)

Elite Wave start time 10:00 AM 

Party Wave (General Heat) start time 10:30 AM

After-race activities, entertainment & drinks start at 10:30 AM 

Awards & Raffle Giveaways 12:00 PM and not to be missed!!!!

Packet Pickup:

Thursday March 30th, 2023 - 4:00 - 8:00 PM @ Shoes & Brews - come out this night to get a sneak peak of the race course during our weekly social run! 6PM run followed by 1/2 priced drink of your choice, Nike demo shoes and raffle prizes!

Friday March 31st, 2023 - 2:00 - 8:00 PM  @ Shoes & Brews - pre-race drinks anyone?

Saturday (Race Day) April 1st  - 8:45 AM - Race Start

Race Day Wave options:

  • ELITE wave, starting at 10:00 AM for anyone who is feeling fast and fancy on race day! If you believe you will clock in a time under 22 minutes for the 5k, this is the option you will want to select when registering. (note: this can be changed at anytime if you are feeling less then fast on the day of).
  • PARTY wave (General Wave), starting at 10:30 am for all of us, runners, walkers, dog joggers, etc! Run, walk, jog, skip, pups, kids, everyone is welcome in this heat.
  • Each wave will have prizes for the overall female and male winners. Along with age group prizes. 
  • Virtual Wave: Want to be in on the fun and goodies?, but can't make it on race day! Select the Virtual Race option and receive all the same goodies shipped directly to you! You'll be able to track your run on race day from where ever you are and you'll have a Free Pint card to come back and visit us for that after-race beer when you have the time

Race Start and Finish:

-Race is chip-timed for both the elite and party waves. 

- The race will start and finish at Shoes & Brews. (63 S. Pratt Parkway, Unit B, Longmont CO. 80501) 

-The course is an out and back with a lollipop loop along the beautiful St. Vrain Greenway. Race Map to be updated shortly. Our hope is that the greenway to the west will be open and we will head that way for the race this year. 

- After-race festivities will all be at Shoes & Brews.

-Participants along with their friends and family are all welcome to attend the after-race fun! Participants will receive beer, cider and food complimentary with their bibs.

-Any friends or family will have option to purchase a Brew Fest Entry to receive beer outside or are welcome to purchase inside with cash or card that day.  Brew Fest ticket is not required. Entry into the after-race area is free, brew fest ticket is available so you can drink at all the vendors outside, we always have lots of NA options available for free and will have the full bar available inside as well! You'll also see Longmont legend Marco's Tacos out for the day with food to purchase! A must do!

Let's talk about prizes and winning some gear:

If you have ever joined us for a race before, you've seen that we love giveaways, so it's always good to make sure you stick around for age-group prizes and the serious raffle giveaway!

Here are the things we already have set-up:

Elite Wave 10:00 AM START -  If you are the overall female or male from our elite wave - you will be walking away with YOUR WEIGHT IN BEER! That's right, you will walk away with cases of beer piled high! You can keep it all, share with friends or throw one kick a** party to celebrate. *Must be 21 to win weight in beer.

Open Wave / Party Wave - 10:30 AM START

  • Overall female and male winners receive brand new kicks from Nike Running. 
  • Age group prizes are as follows: 21 and under, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 - 80, 81 and amazing
  • 1st Place in your age group gets you a Crowler fill of your choice from S&B.
  • 2nd Place in your age group - wait until you see the awesomeness!!!
  • Not feeling like you can win your age group - don't worry! We have a massive raffle giveaway for anyone who hangs around through awards. 

You'll have a special pull tag on your bib that you will drop into our raffle basket. We will be pulling numbers for 100s of prizes: shoes, apparel, beer, accessories, gift certificates and more!

Community Driven Events:

The reason we do what we do is to support and give back to our community. Our community has given us so much, so we always partner with a Boulder county based non-profit for all of our races to ensure that we are not only putting on a great event, but putting it on for a great cause.

A few other reminders/ notes: 

  • If you plan on partaking in some +21 beverages that day, please bring your ID with you. We will have staff on hand to I.D. and wristband anyone over 21. 
  • Friends and family are welcome to join us on the race course to cheer everyone on and after at the after-race and finish line at Shoes & Brews. There is no fee to enter the after-race expo, but if you plan to partake in an adult beverage you can choose to purchase an extra brew fest ticket to drink outside or we have our 20 tap system with beer and cider inside available that day. We also have wine, sodas, kombucha and sparkling hard seltzer option. Please make sure to have your ID if you plan on drinking adult beverages.

  • Are you killer fast and think you've got what it takes to be in our First Wave? We've got a few comp entries available, email into with some of your times and we will get you in! Limited available to reach out now!

SPECIAL **FREE** CLUB PILATES CLASS FOR PARTICIPANTS - Our friends at Club Pilates Longmont have offered a special Pilates for Runners class as a warm-up on Friday before the race: 

Join us before race day to enjoy a 50 minute Pilates Reformer class geared towards runners! Pilates is a great way to add strength, mobility, and flexibility to your running, to help you run better and help reduce your risk of injuries. We will find mobility and stability within exercises to strengthen the hips and glutes while working on core strength and stretching.

Friday, March 31st at 4:30pm at Club Pilates Longmont (700 Ken Pratt Blvd)

- FREE Pilates for Runners class to Shoes & Brews CollaBEERation 5k participants
- Limited space - only 12 spots available. Grip socks required.
- To sign up for the class they can go to our class schedule at or email with subject "CollaBEERation 5k Pilates" and your Name, Email and Phone Number in the email to reserve your spot. If you reserve a spot, we expect you to show up.
