Habitat Archuleta's 15 Homes in 5k Fun Run Plus 10K Run and Kids Super Sprint

About Us
Join Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County as we celebrate the kickoff of Year 4 of our plan to build 15 homes in 5 years! The race will be a huge thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, sub-contractors, and Partner Families as well as an opportunity to learn more about how Habitat Archuleta supports workforce homeownership in the county. Participants will enjoy viewing completed Habitat built houses along the course located on Sam Houston Ave and Domicile Circle. Bring your camp chairs and loudest cheering voices for a day of walking and running fun to celebrate neighbors helping neighbors! 

New in 2025! We'll have a FREE Kids Super Sprint option as well as a 10K!

Each person must register to participate in any of the three distances. Online registration closes at Noon on May 30. We offer on-site registration on RACE DAY at packet pick-up. Registration fees increase on race day, so sign-up early to save. All proceeds from the event will go toward building materials for our 2025 build season and lunches for 2025 volunteers.

Packet Pickup
Participants can pick up their goodie bags the day of the race near the start/finish line from 9:00-9:45 am.

Kids Super Sprint
FREE - for all kids 12 and under

For race day registration, we accept cash, checks, and credit cards.  

Course Descriptions
The start/finish line for all courses is 0.1 mile from the PLPOA Clubhouse. The course for the kids super sprint is approximately 0.5 miles in distance and is a combination of gravel/dirt road mix. The course for the 5k and 10k is a combination of gravel/dirt road mix with a 0.3 mile section of pavement on Trails Blvd. that you will encounter twice on the course for a total of 0.6 miles of pavement. All courses are marked with signs at each kilometer, orange cones, and course marshals at key intersections. All participants should stay on the left side of the road and inside the orange cones for safety.  Once you turn around, this means participants will now be on the right side of the road. Stay on the inside of the orange cones for safety.

Aid Stations
The 5k course will have 1 aid station at the turnaround point at approximately 1.5 miles with water and fruit.

The 10k course will have 2 aid stations.  The first aid is at approximately 1.5 miles with water and fruit. The second aid station is the turnaround at approximately 2.9 miles and will have water and fruit.  

Directions and Parking Info
The race takes place at the PLPOA Clubhouse located at 230 Port Ave, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. Parking is available in the PLPOA parking lot. Once that is full, overflow parking is on the west side of Lake Street. NO PARKING on the east side of Lake or at the Lake Street turnout. Lake Street will be coned off and ONLY race officials are allowed beyond that point for the safety of participants and volunteers. Additional parking is available on the north side of Port Ave. NO PARKING on the south side of Port. There will be abundant signage indicating which side NOT to park. Volunteers will direct participants where to park. Please use caution and drive slowly.
