Good luck to everyone this weekend. Make sure to enter your results by going to the RESULTS tab in the top menu and then click on the SUBMIT VIRTUAL RESULTS button.
As soon as the hoodies come in from the printers they will have a local pickup window or get mailed out to everyone. Have a blast and wow on the great weather this year!
***** Below info on this page mostly is only relevant to the inperson race that was changed to the Virtual option.
Due to the sudden rise in Covid-19 cases and tightened restrictions in Pueblo County the Rock Canyon Half Marathon must cancel this year's race. This decision was hard to accept since we have seen a window of races the past couple of months and felt confident that we would be able to hold our 34th annual race. However, Pueblo County does not forecast a drop in cases through the holiday season and therefore we will postpone the race to December 5th, 2021. You will have three options for those runners already registered: Run our Virtual race December 4-6th and receive a Rock Canyon Half Marathon Hoodie, transfer your entry to next year's race, or request a refund. New and transferring registrations will only be accepted for the Virtual run through November 29th.
One of these options must be chosen! If there is not response by November 29th, your entry will be forfeited and no further options will be available.
Please reply by going to the Runsignup page and choose an option. https://runsignup.com/Race/CO/Pueblo/RockCanyonHalfMarathon
Virtual option must be chosen by November 29th. The hoodie will be well worth the entry and we are excited to see you challenge yourself to 13.1 miles once again!!!
Thank you for your understanding. We are saddened to cancel a race for the first time that has been held through the craziest of weather changes, pulls top runners from all over, introduces the love of racing to many new runners, and holds such a beautiful tradition full of fun and friendships.
Thank you for the grace that you have allowed us as this year continues to surprise us!
Eric & Melanie

Traffic through City Park is one-way so wind around the zoo to the east side of the park near the fountain and round about. Packet pickup is inside the pavilion (the big building just northwest of the round about/east entrance and fountain) from 7:00 to 8:30. The race begins and ends near the pavilion. Parking is available on the streets within the park, so park wherever you can but watch for "No Parking" signs as some 2011 participants did get ticketed. Please consider carpooling as parking is somewhat limited close to the race.
There will be 7 water stations. The first has only water. All the rest will have water and Gatorade. Located approximately 2, 4, 5.75 , 7.5, 8.25, 9.75 and 11.5 miles (odd distances but we have to put water stops where we can drive a car). The first water stop is in City Park and a good place to drop off clothes if you find you have overdressed. You are welcome to drop off clothing at all water stops but the water stop volunteers will not return to the pavilion until the last runner has gone by. If you throw clothing anywhere else on the course you may not see it again.
We have been blessed with great weather 9 out of the last 10 years but be prepared for anything. Pueblo is located in the "banana belt" of Colorado. When it is snowing all around we tend to remain dry, which is great for runners but bad for lawns. Come prepared for snow and wind then be pleasantly surprised by the great weather we have in December in Pueblo. However, having a run in December is a gamble, we have never canceled in 28 years and we intend to run this race regardless of the weather.
There will be a local hoodie pick up date for virtual runners: TBA
Out of town runners will be mailed their race Hoodie shortly after Race day. Please provide accurate mailing addresses.
