Hello 2018 Turkey Trot participants! We are so excited for race day tomorrow. Just a few details, to make our check in go smoothly.
Although online registration is closed, you may come to Twisted Trails from 3-5pm today to register at Pre-registration costs. This will also serve as packet pickup so that you can avoid lines on race day. :)
Race day details: Day of registration and packet pickup will be from 8:15-9:00am in the high school cafeteria. Volunteers will direct you. There will be two different checks in lines (packet pickup and day of registration). PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ARRIVE EARLY AS REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 9AM. We want to turn our attention to starting the race at 9:30am sharp, so that you all can have fun and then go enjoy your Thanksgiving Day. CASH or CHECK only for race day registration.
You may park in front of the high school for easy access. The race will start in Gardner Field Stadium. You can bring you dog to the start, but we are not allowed to have dogs in the stadium, other than the start/finish. We will have some volunteers that can help by holding your dogs right outside of the stadium, as you finish. We have a photo booth where you can take photos with your I-phones or other.
See you all soon!
Come experience what has become one of Steamboat Spring's greatest Thanksgiving traditions. This race/fun run/walk hosted over 400 participants in 2017 and proved to be such a special day for friends, families and visitors to Steamboat Springs. The Turkey Trot is a 5k that starts and ends at Steamboat Springs High School, in the newly renovated Gardner Field Stadium. The 5K travels to beautiful Strawberry Park and benefits the Steamboat Springs High School Track & Field and Cross Country programs. Dress in your cold weather running gear or even a Thanksgiving Day costume.
