Westminster Fire and Police join forces again for this fifth annual fun community run/walk, and you’re invited!

The event supports the Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation.

After savoring the wide-open views of the Middle Hylands Creek and Hyland Ponds Open Space areas from a gravel trail, you follow concrete and gravel paths along the Farmer's Highline Canal to near 92nd Ave and Pierce Street. Then, after following concrete paths to a water stop at Mandalay Middle School, you explore meandering Big Dry Creek via the Westcliff Trail to near 98th and Wadsworth Blvd. The next leg begins on the nearby Big Dry Creek Trail, finally sharing the 5K route for the return to City Park Pond and the Christopher Fields finish line.

Event Information
USATF Course # CO12015DCR:
This course follows gravel and concrete paths from the Start / Finish line to City Park Pond, then along the Big Dry Creek Trail to near Westcliff Pkwy. After a water / rest stop, participants turn around and join runners from the 10K for the return trip along the same route.

Volunteers for the 2013 Blazing Bullets Trail Run will be assigned to assist with water stations around the course, marking the course before the race, race day registration and check-in, directing runners throughout the course, etc.

($35 after May 22nd -- T-Shirt not guaranteed for race day)

Prizes

Awards will be presented to the overall  male and female winners.

There will also be 1st and 2nd Place male and female awards in both the 5K and 10K for each of the 7 age divisions.

There will not be duplicate awards.

Request your Favorite Bib Number! (Optional)

Do you have a "lucky" or "favorite" number for your Runner's Bib?

List up to 5 requested Bib Numbers during registration.  We will try to honor such requests in the order of runner registration, in the order of your list.

If you do not request a particular Bib Number or your requested numbers can not be granted (e.g. they have already been claimed by earlier registrants), your number will be assigned from our remaining numbers.

Our available Bib Numbers range from "1" through "500".

Run with Friends: Join a Team! (Optional)

Are you participating as part of an organized group?

Identify your team to join your colleagues in support of the Blazing Bullets Trail Run.

Examples may include:

  • "WPD SWAT"
  • "XYZ Corp. Accounting Dept."
  • "The Neighborhood Fitness Center"
  • "Jimmy's Jokers"
  • "Westminster Wellness Program"
  • ?????

Group organizers can use this information for their own recognition or friendly competitions within their own team or vs. other teams.  (Compare Number of Finishers, Average Times, etc.)

Look for the chance to Create or Join a team during registration
(or write a Team Name on your paper registration form).

Details for Registrants

You may pick up your race packet either (1) 2-7:00 PM, Thursday, May 29th at Road Runner Sports, 10436 Town Center Dr., Westminster, or (2) 6:30-7:45 AM, Saturday May 31st at Christopher Fields, 5875 W. 104th Ave., Westminster.

Parking for the race will be available surrounding the Westminster City Park Recreation Center, 10455 Sheridan Blvd., Westminster.

The Blazing Bullets Trail Run works through the Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation in support of the citizens and businesses of our community.

Businesses wishing to participate in the BBTR can do so by:

-- Contributing items or coupons for the "goodie bags" given to all racers.
