We don't often get second chances - but here is YOUR second chance to earn some Prairie Dog bling this spring and a great opportunity to support local businesses! We couldn't race together in Arvada, Colorado this spring, but you can run on your own and WIN! Yep, one in five registrants will WIN a $25 gift card and one in 100 registrants will win a $100 gift card to the local business of their choice (from the list provided.) That's better than a 20% chance at winning!
Support your local business owners while social distancing AND doing what you love - RUNNING! You'll be able to self report the time that it took to complete your distance, but that's not the important piece. When you share your 'time', you're really sharing that you support local businesses!
This is a virtual event and there is no designated gathering location. Participate on your own. (See FAQs at the bottom of this page.)
Registrants in this event will receive a long sleeved, tech fabric, gender specific cut t-shirt. Those who register for and complete the half marathon distance will also receive a medal!

**As this is a one-time-only small business fundraiser event, vouchers/coupon codes for 3W Races events are NOT applicable for this registration.
SWAG
Participants will receive an Arvada, CO, Spring Fling Prairie Dog long sleeved tech tee in gender specific sizing. Half Marathon registrants will also receive an Arvada, CO, Spring Fling Prairie Dog finisher medal.
All swag will be shipped via USPS no later than 5-18-20. The sooner you sign up, the sooner your swag will be mailed!

The local series of Prairie Dog Race events is held in four cities in Colorado and supports a local humanitarian charity in each of those communities. This virtual event gives you the opportunity to continue to support those four charities as they serve a growing demand for services, especially in light of recent events.

VIRTUAL RACE FAQs
WHEN should I run this?
You can run this ANYTIME you desire. If it is best for you to wait until later this year to run this distance, then WAIT! Many participants will be running on May 17, but that’s the benefit of a virtual event. Only the RACE is virtual – the RUN is REAL, WHENEVER you choose to do it. Need to wait until the middle of July? That’s fine!
WHERE should I run this?
That is 100% your choice. The safest place to run at this time is a treadmill. If you choose to run outdoors, please take every precaution ordered in your area. In most of Colorado, that means staying NEAR your HOME. Don’t drive to a far away trailhead or park. Stay within YOUR neighborhood. Yeah, that might mean making 10 trips up and down your block!
How do I report my TIME?
On the morning of May 17, 2020, the virtual results submission link will be active. You’ll be able to submit YOUR time through that link until the end of the month. You'll receive an email on RACE DAY with the link to submit your time. If you need longer because you’ve chosen to run later in the year, and not this month, then you’ll email your time after you complete your run. info@3wraces.com
Are TIMES verified?
No. For the virtual event, times reported are on the ‘honor system’. We do have this event listed in STRAVA and encourage athletes to use the STRAVA app to record their runs there as well.
WILL RESULTS be posted?
You bet! Starting the afternoon of May 17, preliminary results will be on the RESULTS page of the website.
Will participants be rewarded based on PERFORMANCE?
No, because participants are running in different locations, times, etc. we will not award anything based on performance. See next question regarding prizes!
Will there be any PRIZES?
YES – EVERYONE who registers for this event will be placed in a drawing for a $25 gift card from a local business. Winners will be announced on 5-18-20. One winner will be drawn for every five registrations! You have a 1 in 5 chance of winning $25. Also, 1 in 100 participants will win a $100 gift card! Winners will receive a gift card to their choice of local business from our list as indicated at time of registration. Each of the Charity Partners is also on the list, so winners may opt to donate $25 in their name to the charity!
HOW will I get my SWAG?
It will be sent through USPS. If your address in your RunSignUp account is outdated, please update it now. Click on Profile where you may then edit your personal details. If your address is not in RunSignUp, you may add it now. Likewise, you may email info@3wraces.com
WHEN will I get my SWAG?
Hopefully, swag will arrive at your location during the week of May 17. The final day that we will ship swag is no later than 5-18-20.
