Run - 6 Feet Apart - Run!
This is a 1Mile, 5k or 10k distance virtual 'race.'
Support your local business owners while social distancing AND doing what you love - RUNNING! You'll be able to self report the time that it took to complete your 1 Mile, 5k or 10k, but that's not the important piece. When you share your 'time', you're really sharing that you support local businesses!
This is a virtual event and there is no designated gathering location. Participate on your own. (See FAQs at the bottom of this page.)
Registrants in this event will receive a custom t-shirt - shirts are gender specific. Shirts are a myriad of colors from the blanks which we currently have in our local inventory. (Did you know that 3W Races prints most of their shirts in-house, right here in Colorado?) You're also welcome to participate without having a shirt mailed to you for a discount of $10.00.
One in FIVE registrants will WIN a $25 gift card to a local business! Yes, that's right - $5 from every registration will be used to buy a gift card for a local business. AND one in 100 registrants will win a $100 gift card to the local business of their choice (from the list provided.) That's better than a 20% chance at winning!
If 50 people sign up, 10 people will win. If 300 people sign up, 63 people will win! When you win, you'll get to CHOOSE which gift card you'd like!
This is a WIN WIN WIN kinda fun event! By participating in this event, you will be doing good for YOU (and your physical and mental health) and you'll be supporting 3W Races, two local charities (Community Table and Growing Home) AND the following local businesses:

**As this is a one-time-only small business fundraiser event, vouchers/coupon codes for 3W Races events are NOT applicable for this registration.
SWAG
Participants will receive an exclusive 3W Races "6 Feet Apart" apparel item in the size/gender/material requested. Colors, cut and sleeve length will vary based on current stock. Inventory is gathered from current blank stock on our shelves, as supply chains for most t-shirts are impeded currently. However, registrants are guaranteed the size/gender/material of shirt selected.
All swag (apparel and race bib) will be shipped via USPS no later than 6-2-20. The sooner you sign up, the sooner your shirt will be mailed!

VIRTUAL RACE FAQs
WHEN should I run this?
You can run this ANYTIME you desire. If it is best for you to wait until later this year to run this distance, then WAIT! Many participants will be running on May 31, but that’s the benefit of a virtual event. Only the RACE is virtual – the RUN is REAL, WHENEVER you choose to do it. Need to wait until the middle of July? That’s fine!
WHERE should I run this?
That is 100% your choice. Please take every precaution ordered in your area. In most of Colorado, that means staying NEAR your HOME.
How do I report my TIME?
On the morning of May 31, 2020, the virtual results submission link will be active. You’ll be able to submit YOUR time through that link until the end of the month. You'll receive an email on RACE DAY with the link to submit your time. If you need longer because you’ve chosen to run later in the year, and not this month, then you’ll email your time after you complete your run. info@3wraces.com
Are TIMES verified?
No. For the virtual event, times reported are on the ‘honor system’. We do have this event listed in STRAVA and encourage athletes to use the STRAVA app to record their runs there as well.
WILL RESULTS be posted?
You bet! Starting the afternoon of May 31, preliminary results will be on the RESULTS page of the website.
Will participants be rewarded based on PERFORMANCE?
No, because participants are running in different locations, times, etc. we will not award anything based on performance. See next question regarding prizes!
Will there be any PRIZES?
YES – EVERYONE who registers for this event will be placed in a drawing for a $25 gift card from a local business. Winners will be announced on 5-18-20. One winner will be drawn for every five registrations! You have a 1 in 5 chance of winning $25. Also, 1 in 100 participants will win a $100 gift card! Winners will receive a gift card to their choice of local business from our list as indicated at time of registration. Each of the Charity Partners is also on the list, so winners may opt to donate $25 in their name to the charity!
HOW will I get my SWAG?
It will be sent through USPS. If your address in your RunSignUp account is outdated, please update it now. Click on Profile where you may then edit your personal details. If your address is not in RunSignUp, you may add it now. Likewise, you may email info@3wraces.com
WHEN will I get my SWAG?
Hopefully, swag will arrive at your location during the week of May 31. The final day that we will ship swag is no later than 6-2-20.
