Description
Gavin's Fight CDH 5K is the 2018 fundraising event of the Gavin Connery Foundation for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) research and awareness. CDH is a birth defect which occurs in 1 in 2,500 live births, 50% of these children do not survive this terrible disease. Those that do survive are often left with lifelong residual effects. These children fight an incredible battle in the first days and months of their lives, something we experienced first hand with our son Gavin. There is no known cause or cure for CDH. Awareness of the disease to increase funding for research is what we strive to do. Come join us on June 2, 2018 for a fun run/walk and talk to raise awareness and funds for further research. The event will be taking place at the scenic Derby Greenway. There will be a 3.1 mile run or walk or a 1.18 mile walk. For more details please visit www.gavinconnery.com
