Allied Sports and Recreation Virtual Walk

Welcome to Allied Rehabilitation Centers, Inc. (ARC) Virtual Walk to support our Sports and Recreation Programs, which help individuals with disabilities in the North Central Connecticut area. Allied’s devotion is to encourage our participants to do their very best and to enjoy themselves.

Our Sports Program began in the 1980s, intending to provide a much-needed fitness program for our participants and socializing with their peers in the community. The program has grown from a handful of athletes to now supporting over 90 athletes and 75 volunteers. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to achieve our goals.

Our Recreation Program started in 2014. After the Enfield ARC closed, we recognized that our participants needed social activities and interaction with their peers. The program began with 7 individuals and quickly grew to 15. Currently, due to insufficient funds, we are unable to expand the program. We work hard daily to raise funds so we can continue to offer social activities to our participants.

For this reason, we are reaching out to our community to help us fund both the Sports and Recreation Programs. Allied does not receive any funding to support these two programs and now compounded by the pandemic, it is making it even more challenging. Your support will help change lives and allow us to continue providing services to our participants and ultimately helping them flourish.
