Description
The 9th Annual Run for Chris is both a memorial and charitable event in support of the Chris Belfoure Memorial Fund at Community Foundation of Middlesex County, in partnership with the Valley Shore YMCA.
The run’s primary purpose is to raise money for educational endeavors in the schools of the Lower Valley of Middlesex County. Chris, who had participated in the trips abroad while at Valley Regional High School, greatly appreciated such opportunities that introduced him to new places, peoples, and cultures. In college he spent time studying and working in China, where he became fluent in Mandarin. Proceeds from the event benefit local area schools' student travel abroad programs
A certified 5K road race (#CT13030JHP), plus kids fun run and 2M walk, the Run for Chris is a family-friendly 5K run in the village of historic Essex, CT.
