Description

Race the Essex Steam Train on your own turf! We've got an exciting virtual event for 2021 that includes a Virtual Half Marathon, Half Marathon Team Relay, and an Individual Half Marathon Relay. You've got 5 days to run 13.1 miles all in one go, collectively as part of a team, or spread it out and run a minimum of 2.62 miles per day. Submit your time and if it beats the train's time of 2 hours and 15 minutes you get a special commemorative train whistle!

Virtual Half Marathon and Relay

Virtual Half Marathon
Take on 13.1 miles any time between April 8th and April 12th and upload your results.

Virtual Team Half Marathon Relay
Grab a friend or several and take on 13.1 miles as a group.

Virtual Individual Half Marathon Relay
Spread out the 13.1 miles over the 5 days of the challenge
