GFA Dragon Dash

The Dragon Dash is back! 

We have a great, scenic & friendly course that the whole family can enjoy. Invite friends and neighbors, and join the GFA community for our gentle 5K (3.1mi) run (or walk) on Saturday, May 10. 

ALL ABILITIES ARE ENCOURAGED and WELCOME.

The Dragon Dash has partnered with an education-based charity for many years. We will continue to support this great charity and the students it serves. You can help us carry on this tradition!

ALL donations will go directly to our beneficiary HORIZONS GFA. We appreciate your support and generosity.

Our 5K (3.1mi) course is a gentle loop through the scenic Greens Farms neighborhood in Westport. Much of the second half is on a quiet street overlooking the Long Island Sound. The start and finish is on the GFA campus. Everyone running or walking this distance will be computer-timed and will be eligible for prizes & awards.

We will also host a short, free kids’ fun run before the 5K starts. IF we have a high amount and wide range of kids we may offer two different distances!

All funds raised will benefit Horizons GFA our student based charity partner.

Registration Fees: 5K  $30 for 19 & over,    $22 for 18 & under  
                                         $35/$25  fees increase May 5-10.
                                         Kids Fun Run Scamper FREE for ages 9 yrs & younger only

2/1     Online Registration opens

4/27   Guaranteed shirt sizing ends. After that sizes are ‘as available’ and we may sell out prior.

5/5     Registration fees increase   

5/9     Bib & shirt pickup at FLEET FEET in Westport from 3:30-5:30pm

               SPECIAL OFFER - Save 10% on all items in the store when you pickup on Friday!

5/10  7:45am  On the GFA campus -  Bib & shirt pickup, online registration available 

          8:45am  Free - kids run(s) starts

          9:00am  Start- 5K timed run & walk - all abilities encouraged! Snacks to follow.

        10:00am   Awards distribution (or sooner if results are available) 

  ALL REGISTRATION IS ONLINE INCLUDING RACE DAY! No paper/no cash

  REMEMBER THAT ALL T-shirt sizing guaranteed ONLY TILL 4/27. Registering after that may not have a shirt available.

SHIRT STORE- extra youth and adult sized shirts will be available for just $10- must order by 4/27. (Paid registered entries have a shirt included)

This is a great option for the 'free' kids run participants who do not receive a shirt. And also for adults who'd like extra for friends & family.

5K RACE/WALK DETAILS
· The participants will be computer timed AND ELIGIBLE for awards. 
· The course is fast, scenic on quiet roads & is accurately measured. 
· There will be a water station at 1.2 miles.

AWARDS PRESENTED BY FLEET FEET OF WESTPORT-

Our top three Male and Female finishers will receive $100, $75 & $50 gift cards. (and removed from their age groups)

Awards will be given in the timed 5k for the first place male and female in age groups  19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+-79, 80+

SPECIAL ICE CREAM GIFT CARDS - DONATED BY THE ROHERBASSER FAMILY-

WILL BE AWARDED TO THE  1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finisher boy & girl finisher in age groups 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18
