Description
The Ivoryton Pumpkin Chase is a 5K Road/Trail Race to benefit the Ivoryton Library and takes place in peak foliage season of southern New England. The course begins along Main Street for approximately ½ mile before turning left down Falls River Drive. At the one mile mark, the course enters the Falls River Preserve for a 1.1 mile trail loop that meanders along the Falls River. The trail is double track for about ½ mile before it turns into hilly and rocky single track. Care must be taken on the trail due to the presence of rocks and roots. Please be aware that the trail can be slippery in wet conditions.
Walkers are encouraged! Walkers will do a loop to/from Falls River Preserve trail head. The trail route is not included in the 2 mile walk.
A prize for best costume will be awarded. Be festive!

Race Day Schedule
- Race Check-In at Ivoryton Green opens at 8:00 am
- 5K race & 2 mile walk start at 9:00 am.
- 2 mile walk does not include the trail portion of the route.
On race day: please allow plenty of time to park and collect your race number before the 9:00 am start.
ZERO Waste Race
We aim to be a ZERO waste race, please help us by bringing a water bottle. Water (and paper cups when necessary) will be available at the start and finish. Paper cups filled with water will be at the 1& 2 mile markers.
